The FCN president was presenting a trophy to Marquinhos in honor of the Parisians' victory in the Champions League when he whispered to him: "That's good, you Brazilians, you've integrated well in France, you're adapting well, and on top of that you're Christians."
The footage was captured by the microphones of the new French Championship broadcast channel, Ligue 1+ , which had shared the video on its platforms before deleting it. It was too late for many social media users who denounced the racist blunder. Neither the club nor the channel have yet issued an official response.
